How is your course different to other courses out there?
It's been really important for me to create a super practical course based on my years of experience and up-to-date knowledge of the media industry. I've written for hundreds of Australian and international publications and worked with loads of aspiring writers so I know where you might need extra help or explanation, and the common mistakes that new writers make (and how to avoid them).
This course cuts all the fluff and is the most straightforward and useful way for writers to get their first (and many more!) bylines.
How long do I have access to the course materials for?
Access to the course is for 12 months from the time the last module is released.
Why 12 months access?
Some online courses have traditionally been lifetime access, but course creators have found that people enrol thinking they have years to go through the material and guess what?
They never complete the course and therefore never get results.
I really want writers to be able to have these skills and knowledge and to get results quickly.
Twelve months is more than enough time for you to work through the course materials and see visible results.

Are there any prerequisites?
This course is aimed at people who want to write for magazines, newspapers or online.
Usually you will be new to the writing/journalism industry or you may be an established corporate writer, author, PR professional or in-house journalist who wants to break into feature writing.
If I pay for the course with my credit card, is there a cost for the conversion?
When you go to pay and fill in all your details, the conversion will happen once you've paid. It'll be the exchange rate of your banking institution.
I always look at xe.com first to work out the exchange rate, but that's always a little off simply because it depends on your bank's conversion rate and if they charge a currency conversion fee.
If you're keen to know the exact rate, contact the bank associated with your card to find out the current conversion rate.
What is your refund policy?
If you’ve worked through some of the course and haven’t gained any value from it (or just don’t think the course is for you), I’ll happily refund your payment minus a $50 admin fee.
Refunds must be requested within 7 days from purchase.
No refunds are provided after the first 7 days, and I do not provide pro-rata refunds for cancelled accounts. After the initial refund period expires, I will continue to process any remaining payments (if you have selected a payment plan option).
Are there any other material or equipment costs besides the enrolment cost of the course?
No. Everything you need is provided!
Do I get support, community, or direct access to you?
If you're a VIP, I'll be regularly available in our private community (you'll get the details once you enrol) to answer and help with any challenges you're facing. VIPs also have the chance to submit pitches for review and feedback, as well as have questions answered during coaching calls.
Do your techniques work globally and not just in Australia?
All the information and strategies I go through can be used throughout the world. My articles have been published throughout the world, including in the USA, UK, Canada, Singapore and more.
These strategies are based on techniques that I've used but also that my coaching students have used and they've been based in countries such as the USA, Canada, UK, Spain, France and the Philippines.
Your online community is on Facebook. What if I'm not on (or don't want to be on) Facebook?
At the moment the private Foundations of Freelance Writing community is hosted on Facebook. If you are not an active member on Facebook, you can still enrol in the VIP course, but you just won't have access to the online community component.
